The Franklin Memorial Fund
Franklin's Light Lives On
Sober housing gave Franklin nine precious months of safety, structure, and love—and a chance to be the dad, musician, and kind soul his family knew. The Franklin Memorial Fund continues that lifeline for others in early recovery who can’t afford it. Every gift helps someone’s son or daughter access West Coast Sober Housing when support is out of reach.
A letter from Franklin's Mother.
Franklin got enormous help & love from his treatment center & residence, West Coast Sober Housing. They save many mothers’ sons and daughters. Sober housing is more than a place to live, it’s a lifeline for those in recovery.
For many, financial support is scarce- some have no families at all, while others come from families who are struggling to make ends meet.

Franklin and his Mother, Susan
The sober home where Franklin lived for 9 months they renamed “The Franklin House” in his honor. I felt relief when Franklin lived there. There’s a unique environment of brotherhood, and support. The staff, and his peers provided him with structure, tools & encouragement. He maintained 9 months of sobriety, and once again became the best version of himself- a loving father, talented musician, and kind soul.
I am so grateful for those 9 months. Addiction is a cruel disease.
Franklin tried very hard, and at 9 months he was still in the early stages of recovery. In a world before fentanyl, the risk of a single relapse didn’t carry the same death threat. The disease of addiction & fentanyl took him down.
Franklin cared very much about others. He had a generous, kind spirit. He’d want me to help others now because he can’t.
So, I ask from the depth of my heart to join me in honoring Franklin’s memory. By supporting West Coast Sober Housing, you can provide life-changing care to those in early recovery.
